This is not a love story. Not really. In this reinterpreted classic, two teenagers find their adolescent crushes rapidly twisting into tragedy through the impossibility of their love and their warring parents; were these star-crossed lovers really doomed from the start?
This is a condensed production of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet. We hope to present this production as a tragedy in which we do not mourn the lost love but instead the inability for the titular characters to healthily express their feelings due to the wills of their parents and their conflict. We also question the inevitability of the tragedy - the famous crossed stars - and ask whether the story could ever end happily
