In response to the 2024 Britain Race Riots, the poet writes as a first generation immigrant from Hong Kong, urging for those who spew anti-immigrant hatred to see the grief, love and resilience of immigrant communities. With both fierce rage and wistful softness, this poem is a cry for readers to come eye to eye with the pain of anti-immigrant racism and the undeniable humanity of immigrants.
