You Don't Have To Say It Like That

In the aftermath of a loss, a person, a sibling and a mother attempt to deal with a life marked by a sinister absence. The person, unable to confront the truth of their situation, retreats into a new memory recollection experiment and forms a connection with their mesmerically reserved doctor. As the experiment continues, reality begins to distort and a family may very quickly turn into strangers. You Don’t Have To Say It Like That is a play that explores memory as both a tangible and immaterial component of everyday life and questions how we choose to remember.
